Chapter Updates are filed by month. Each update contains the Chairman's Notes, spans the entire month and can contain multiple updates that have been added as they are written. As such, if you only check at the beginning of a month, you could miss three updates! Please continue to check back to ensure you have the latest information!

A Belated Seasons Greetings and Happy New Year. On behalf of our officers and
members I wish you a Happy New Year and all the very best that the New Year has to
offer. If you plan to make a charitable donation this year (2010) and have not yet done so,
today is your day. We hope you will consider Eagle Chapter. Our heartfelt thanks to Bill
Davidson, Michael Gallogly, Ed Fullhart, Oliver Carter, and Daryl Janicki for your
considerate donations since my last update.

Richardson Update. As many of you recall, we launched an all points bulletin early this
year to request donations to aid a seriously ill Security Forces Airman, Timothy
Richardson, who had been medically evacuated back to the US from Iraq due to a very
serious cancerous heart condition that affects only 200 people and can only be treated by
three hospitals in the US. Our Air Force SF Chiefs went into action and the response has
been enormous. Last week, just before Christmas, our Vice Chairman - Tidewater Wing,
Bill Scouten presented Timothy a check in the amount of $1,037.00 on our behalf. All
together your donations totaled $5,037.00 for Timothy which is a huge help for him and his
family who must travel to Boston from treatment. His treatments are going well and if he
continues to improve, he is expected to return to his unit at Bolling in March. Again
thank-you all on behalf of the Richardson family. See photo attached of Timothy, his check
and the Aug-Sep edition of our Eagle Flight Newsletter.

633d Donation. Whoo Aaah! Again our thanks to Senior Master Sergeant Travis Harris!
Sergeant Harris passed the beret and the SF at Langley donated $330.00 toward our
annual donation drive. As shown on the attached, Bill Scouten again was on hand to accept
the check and also present Sergeant Harris a chapter coin as a very small token of our
appreciation.
Thank-you Eagle Chapter from the National Law Enforcement Officers Museum! We did
it! Four years ago, we pledged $1,000.00 to help build the first ever National Law
Enforcement Officers Museum in Washington DC. This year, we paid our final $250.00 a
year payment and have now fulfilled our pledge. The Museum sent us a letter of
appreciation for our support. Our contribution entitles our chapter to have its name
inscribed in "The Thin Blue Line" which will run through the glass bridge connecting the
east and west mezzanine levels overlooking the main exhibit hall in the Museum. When the
museum is built, you can all share in the pride of knowing that as a contributor and
member, you had a role. Thanks again.
Eagle Chapter Newsletters. Once we complete the negotiations with our new website
hosting service, I will have two chapter newsletters to upload Aug-Sep and Oct-Nov edition.
These are the best ever. Chief Zidack's remarks, Wall Wash and Veterans Day Photos,
7th Anniversary Luncheon photos, My Son's Cancer (article written by Airman
Richardson's mother), and the 5th Anniversary Jacobon Observation are highlights.
Please be sure to read the email from the Norton family members in the Feedback section
in the Oct-Nov edition. The newsletters are too large for me to include in this update. I
should have them on our website in two weeks or if you want a copy in advance, just
respond to this email.
Eagle Chapter Board Meeting. Our first chapter board meeting is Jan 22, at 0830, at the
Cracker Barrel Restaurant Exit #92 106 South Carter Road Ashland VA. All chapter
members and guests are invited to attend. Breakfast starts at 0830 with the meeting
immediately afterward. Please let us know if you plan to attend so we can be sure to have
an area large enough.
