SSgt Nicholas Bradley was injured when the vehicle he was driving was attacked by an Improvised Explosive Device in August, 2009, in Afghanistan.  SSgt Bradley endured nine major operations after the explosion ripped him from the vehicle, shatterred his right arm, took his left index finger and right middle finger, and broke his right hip and foot.
