As a native Californian, I grew up
in
Patterson, CA
which is a small city in
Stanislaus County. In my senior year of high school I moved
to the Los Angeles Metropolitan area. |
|
| |
|
|
|
|
| In
1989 I joined the
California Conservation Corps
and was stationed in Lake Tahoe, CA. I was a member of a crew
that fought forest fires and performed reforestation of areas
damaged by wild fires. |
|
| |
|
|
|
|
| In
late 1990 early 1991, I attended the Reserve Police Officer and
Correctional Officer Academy courses of the
Criminal Justice
Training Center on
the
Modesto Junior College
campus. I completed the courses and was Certified by the
California Commission of Peace Officer Standards and Training (POST). |
|

|
|
|
|
| I had
always believed that one day I would serve my country through
military service. Being that Iraq had invaded Kuwait in Aug of
1990, I decided to enlist in the
U.S. Air Force
via the delayed enlistment program so that I could complete my
law enforcement and correctional training. I spent
Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Years of 1991 in
Basic Military Training. |

After graduating the Air Force Security Police
Academy with special honors such as the Distinguished Honor
Graduate and the Top Gun Award, I attend the Ground Combat
Skills Course on U.S. Army Fort Dix in New Jersey. I was the
class leader of a class of just over 130 Security Police
Officers and was honored to receive the Commanders Leadership
Award. |
|
| |
|
|
|
|
| My
first assignment was a special duty assignment with the
Air Force Honor Guard.
I was stationed in
Washington, DC for two
years of ceremony service at the
White House,
Pentagon,
Arlington National Cemetery,
and areas throughout the D.C. Metropolitan area. |
|
| |
|
|
|
|
| In
December of 1994 I transferred to
Andrews Air Force Base
and was selected to provide anti-hijack security onboard the
presidential air fleet that included Air Force One and Two. In
January of 1999 I was honorably discharged from the Air Force
and served as a Justice
Protective
Service Officer at the
U.S. Department of Justice
for about 1½ year. |
|
| |
|
|
|
|
| From
2000 to 2007 I worked for
Triumph Technologies Inc.
where I held numerous positions, which include Security
Program Assistant, Senior Data Administrator, Webmaster,
Security Project Officer, Program Director, Director of
Operations/Deputy to the Chief Operating Officer, and Vice
President of Business Development. |
