Wreath-laying National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Washington, DC
|
We place an Eagle Chapter wreath at the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial to recognize the 14 Air Force Security Force members who are memorialized at the memorial. We also place 8 yellow roses to commemorate the 8 security force members who have been validated by the Air Force as having died while performing law enforcement operations in Iraq but are not recognized by the Memorial. We’ll continue to place these yellow roses at the Memorial until the Fund corrects this error. During the Annual Candlelight Vigil, we pause to recognize all law enforcement officers who have died while protecting our communities. |

For our Memorial Day observance, we place Eagle Chapter wreaths in tribute to men and women who are memorialized at the Vietnam War Memorial, Vietnam War Women’s Memorial, and the Korean War Memorial. On Memorial Day, we participate in the formal wreath-laying ceremony at the Air Force Memorial where we place our wreath at the Air Force Memorial. |
